Throughout my professional experiences I have developed strong expertise in 3D modelling (drafting), rapid prototyping (3D printing) and tooling / building new designs. My specialty lies with my talents of research, communication, and imagination - providing the ability to derive a realistic design from a given idea.

I have extensive experience in drafting 3D models from spoken ideas in the office environment, which are then used in communication and negotiation strategies with stakeholders. I have often rendered 3D models to photorealistic quality (Blender and Fusion 360 software) and been able to utilise my visual design expertise to further modify the resulting 2D images (Photoshop and GIMP). These skills have been used in manufacture, simulation, selling, and simple ideation.

To substantiate my claims, I have six years of experience as a design engineer, consistently finding myself in a seat for researching, concepting, and communicating solutions. I have a diverse skillset and deep knowledge base in the context of robotics.

Within my most recent office, I engineered designs for industrial automation of innovative robotic solutions. Projects have featured large-scale cartesian gantries and robot arms, as well as small-scale benchtop instruments and miniature devices. Furthermore, in this role I have:
• Completed conceptual, embodiment, and detailed designs using 3D CAD packages.
• Led the generation of successful quotes for robotic solutions.
• Developed a problem-solving skill for robotics, having explored the pros and cons of various robotic solutions in great depth.
• Refined interpersonal skills, representing the company in meetings with valued clients at all project stages.

  • Mechatronics Engineer and Process Coordinator for Engineering R&D AusDiagnostics · Full-time Aug 2018 – Apr 2021 2 yrs 8 mos undefined, NSW, Australia Joining AusDiagnostics, I was given the opportunity to lead the innovation of a robot for the manufacture of sterile liquid reagent products. From conceptualisation to delivery in 8 months, the project involved mechanical, electrical, and software R&D, and the robot had strict requirements such as its precision, high throughput, sterility, and compliance with QMS standards. A follow-up project to advance the technology for a different product was complete 7 months later.
