He has a Master's degree in City Planning from Middle East Technical University in which he carried out his thesis project on Parametric Landscape Urbanism: A Model Proposal for Operational Framework. Dominic Spooner is an industrial designer and founder of Ember Design House. Dominic has over ten years’ experience in the design and manufacture of products for military, commercial and consumer industries. Dominic commenced his career designing satellites. He designed and managed the development of a satellite for use in disaster response; a world first in satellite design and application. It all started when I was young and got some bright ideas i wanted to make or at least make 3D models of. After 2 not so succsessful years in the university studying History I decided to rather make it as an designer and went for a 1 year design school to get the skills needed to use the softwares. Now I have plans to 3D model and possibly make products of my inventions and start my own company to design products for others as well as an inhoouse manufacturer facility to make my own products based upon my personal designs. I also do some work for a Company called HEXUSA design and rendering work. Design and 3Dmodeling have always been my biggest passion and the I want to make a living of it to do what I love the most to do. So here I am, 3D modeller and inventor with a passion for history and creating the future.

I am a firm believer of the concept ‘form follows function’ ; I also strongly believe that this line of thought should not be an excuse for poor design. Trained as an Industrial Designer, I love working from the perspective of project management, ideas conceptualization and strategic design, since I have taken part in multiple projects related with design and development of products and services. I am very interested on areas such as mobility, smart cities and entertainment, specially if they are social and innovative projects.
