Among the others are overhead cranes, jib cranes, handling devices, gear boxes, fluid power systems, strength calculations etc. I'm an experienced SolidWorks user, additionally working in AutoCAD 2D and Compass 2D. I am a mechanical engineer with strong expertise in mechanical product development and agricultural machinery, currently working as a Design Engineer at AGCO. I specialize in the design and optimization of feederhouse and residue management systems for Fendt IDEAL and Massey Ferguson combine harvesters, using Creo Parametric and Windchill for 3D CAD modeling and product lifecycle management. My work incorporates Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles, Top-Down Design methodology and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards, contributing to robust and cost-effective product solutions. My technical background includes thermal and mechanical calculations, fluid simulations CFD, Finite Element Analysis - FEA, failure analysis, DFMEA, PLC programming, P&ID design, sensor specifications, integration and comissioning and risk analysis HazOp. I also have hands-on experience in design, maintenance engineering, commissioning, and inspection of thermal systems such as steam boilers, pressure vessels, biomass conveyors, and industrial fans, as well as experience with steel structures in industrial environments. I have designed various machinery including road tankers, generating sets, pumps, compressors, hydraulic mechanical handling equipment, lifting gear and even a battery powered mobile hoist for Torness Nuclear power station. I have received industrial training in the UK from National Grid, the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC). I am an expert with Inventor, and in recent years have also become competent with Fusion 360 and Solidworks. CAD software is so good nowadays, that it is quite easy to model something. Where I have proven to be outstanding is with my application of mechanical design analysis and enough experience to know how to apply theoretical methods to reality and what works. Where necessary I can present comprehensive design substantiation e.g. to meet design standards such as BS / ISO or machinery directive and obtain CE / UKCA marking. I am expert with MathCAD and Excel for producing and presenting calculations that have held up to scrutiny. Where appropriate I will produce FEA with Inventor and ANSYS for stress analysis of more complex geometry and loading situations. During my Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering (later incorporated to MSc), I studied the numerical methods involved in FEA, and this combined with experience in aftermarket looking at part failure with Howden Process Compressors, now informs how I use these tools and allows me to use FEA effectively and realistically. I have solid understanding of key manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, and fitting, having always worked closely with the shop floor, soaking up knowledge and enjoying the camaraderie. I am interested in innovative technology and in recent years I have produced successful designs for mechanical components made by 3d printing of plastic. I have extensive knowledge of industrial components and suppliers and have often saved the time and expense of design and manufacture by knowing of an appropriate off-the-shelf part. In summary, with many years of industrial mechanical design experience, and being a generally trustworthy and conscientious person, taking pride in what I do, I represent exceptional value for money and a choice that you will not regret
