I have 15 years of experience as a CAD designer and have used programs such as Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Solidworks and Solid Edge to develop, design, and oversee projects to make tooling and devices. Throughout my career, I have reduced design time by 15% to 25% by creating standard components and assemblies. I also have experience with finite element analysis, calculating the strength of components and tooling I have designed in the program Ansys. This has helped me verify my designs and reduce the number of prototypes required for product development. Furthermore, I have created technical drawings with geometric and dimensional tolerances to facilitate easy and practical assembly. I can also develop bills of materials in Excel for all types of products and tooling I might design. I have developed successful projects such as leading and designing a CAPEX project for the implementation of a new water testing station that recycles 60% of its own water. This test locates water leaks in dry van bodies. I have also developed and designed a multi-carriage tool for manufacturing automotive staples, reducing the number of steps required, and a composite die with a quick-change system for manufacturing more than 10 different products.
