I am mechanical engineer from Cape Town, South Africa. After 10 years in various engineering sectors which included, machine design, mold design, agricultural machinery design, aluminium road tanker design and manufacturing, I find myself working as a design engineer in the marine/boat building industry. Projects I have worked on ranges from patrol boats (8.5m to 35m), vessels for the Navy to glass-fibre passenger ferries for river transport in Africa. I strive for clean simple designs that work effectively and simplistically.

Hello and thank you for your interest in choosing me to be a part of your team! If you're reading this, you are probably interested in getting to learn a little more about my skill set as well as the person you are going to be working with. To give you a quick run through, I am a product Design graduate from the University of Louisiana. During my time there, I I was part of a transit development team in the Product Design department that worked and created a new system of travel for the university. This experience led me to become a Marine Designer. I worked with a team of engineers and other designers to design and create new marine vessels. My job responsibilities entailed 3D modeling vessels for manufacturing, creating 2D construction drawings from my 3D models for the ship yards, creating renderings from my models for shipyards, image editing and creating images for company marketing. My greatest accomplishment at this job was being a part of a team that created the worlds fastest aluminum boat over 200 feet. From Marine Design, I took an opportunity as a Jewelry Designer. This is my current day job. I am challenged everyday in creating and designing 3D models that require the utmost expertise to achieve the designs complex, free-form shapes. I absolutely love what I do, and have a passion for 3D modeling and design. This year alone, I have done over 500 unique 3D models! I would love the opportunity to join your team, and help make your dream a reality! Please feel free to contact me for more information or discussion of why I believe I will be a great fit for your team.

Educated to high level, graduating first from Furniture Design and manufacture and later Marine Engineering with a focus on High Performance composites and Marine structure design. Currently working predominantly as design engineer for new build superyachts in the south of England and often super/mega yacht refit and modifications around Europe. I am experienced in 3D modelling for concept design, CAD CAM, 3D printing and producing manufacture drawings for shop floor. I have produced rendered images and presentations of design concepts, and given detailed manufacture specifications for components, furniture and large modifications for some of the largest Superyachts in the world. E.G. Yachts Rising Sun, Aglaia/Ahimsa, Ecstasy, Moonbird, Nirvana, Cinderella IV and many more. I have a very good understanding of manufacture processes and I daily deal with issuing manufacture instructions and specifications by means of 2d drawings and discussions with project managers. I am willing to discuss any design work required which involves 3D modelling, 2D engineering drawings, rendered presentations or images, composite tooling, 3D printing, CNC etc. My CV and Portfolio is available for viewing on my linkedin page at: https://www.linkedin.com/hp/?dnr=PftixpWM2PD2ww1CPoADxmg32X82fwUopQtA
