Description:Calling all pet designers, help me make the dog bowl great again!!
Small start-up company looking to disrupt the dog feeding bowl market. When you have a dog, you want to do all you can for it. There are a variety of boredom buster feeder dog products/bowls on the market that helps solve the problem of alleviating boredom and anxiety that can lead to excessive chewing, barking, digging, and other destructive behaviours.
I want to disrupt the dog feeder product market competitors to create something new, original and innovative integrating the Wobble Balance Board concept.

• Open to multiple designs/entries
• 3 unique product designs plus 2 wild card designs
• Innovative, creative and original design – out of the box thinking
• Cost effective and designed to manufacture
• Injection mould friendly using food grade rubber and plastic materials to manufacture
• 3 sizes-small, medium and large
• Sturdy and non-slip when in use
• Is it relatively unique versus what competitors sell and most people have come across on eBay, Amazon or similar online shops and current product competitors?
• Minimalist and simple
• Must help us modify if needed
• Use logo attached
The critical point is to positively make it an engaging experience for the dog – the end consumer. The other challenge is to convince the dog parents of the benefits/features by design and usability of it.
Open your imagination and professional creative ability – design something original and innovative.
If you think we're not being creative enough and have an innovative idea for an awesome design that fits the brief, please also submit. There are multiple prizes on offer.
Wants:Is it a good design?
Evaluates expected basic elements of products and facilities that are: aesthetical superiority; sincerity; originality; good value for the price; user-friendliness; designed with safety in mind; designed to fit the usage environment where it's used; meeting the needs of consumers (and their dogs); offering good functionality and performance; attractiveness.
Is it a superior design?
Design: the design concept is superior; the process or the management of the design is superior; the formal expression is new and exciting; the design is superior in its overall sense of completeness.
User: it shows a high level of solving the problems facing the user; it puts the principle of universal design into practice; it presents new modes of behaviour and manners; it conveys versatility and a high degree of functionality in an easily understandable way; consideration has been given to maintenance, improvements, and expansion during usage.
Additionally, the basic criteria sought in assessing a product is listed below:
-Manufacturing (Construction and Use of Materials)
-Functionality: Form follows function - Good product design marries form and function well.
-Price (the cost to manufacture – value for money)
-Creativity, Originality & Simplicity
-Usability: Benefits to the user (dog), including performance, comfort, safety, ease of use, and
universal function and access
Don't Wants:-A copy from current product competitor, Amazon or eBay or other e-commerce websites without any creativity or thought on how the dog (the ultimate end-user) will engage with the product.
-Made from a million pieces
-No sharp or clunky edges
-Non-manufacturable designs and complex designs
-Cheap plastic look & fee
-Does meet the evaluation criteria

Vehicular LED Display Case
I am prototyping a display for a startup that will be mounted on the tops of vehicles. It will eventually be either CNC milled or 3D printed, depending on the material decided on. For this display I am looking for a sleek case design that also meets the specifications below. The display panel itself is 81.75625 cm x 15.24 cm and needs to be able to slide into and out of the case when a side panel is removed. The electronics are mounted on the back of the display panel and require a clearance of 5.08 cm. There needs to be a source of ventilation for the electronics except on the top as it will be outdoors, as well as one usb port and space for the power cable on the bottom of the display case. For the feet, they will be made of magnets with quite a strong pull force that have been dipped in rubber to prevent scratching. This also needs to be accounted for in the design with there being 3 to 4 feet supporting the case. There are other cases for various products that need to be designed/redesigned, so we would like to find somebody to work with through this contest.
