Other experience
- Pulse Tube Cryocooler Concept (Research Project) Developed a conceptual design for a pulse tube cryocooler with approx. 300 W input power for research applications. The split-type system uses an oil-free linear compressor with flexure-supported pistons, a regenerator, and an inertance tube/pulse tube configuration to achieve low-vibration cooling in the 80–120 K range. Work included CAD modeling, thermodynamic cycle analysis, and design of heat exchangers and phase-shifting components for reliable, remote laboratory use.
-
Adaptive Vibration Absorber with Metal Cushions
Developed and implemented an adaptive vibration absorber using metal cushions as spring and damping elements. The project focused on adjusting the absorber’s natural frequency through variable pretension of the cushions, improving performance in terms of heat resistance, durability, and damping characteristics. Work included:
CAD design and detailed engineering following VDI 2221 methodology
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and modal analysis for structural verification
Integration of preload measurement and vibration sensor system
Creation of manufacturing drawings and design documentation
This project was carried out in collaboration with Fraunhofer LBF as part of applied research on advanced vibration control solutions.
