After that I went to security company designing new and existing products for them to manufacture. The designs ranged from small turnstiles to booms all the way to surveillance trailers to help Rhino poaching in South Africa. After that I worked for a canvas and awning company. Hi Guys I got no experience related to work but I had many projects in my college. In the final year of my bachelor’s degree, I undertook two projects namely–“ Development of Six-Wheeled Rover for Uneven Terrain” and “ Gyroscopic Coupled Hoberman Sphere as a Safety System of Quadcopter”. In the former one, we designed a rover that can travel on the irregular surface including the staircase. This project was awarded in a field of technology at the national event of MarkerFest ’20, Vadodara. In the latter one, we designed and implemented a mechanical safety system for the drone by using a Hoberman Sphere. From these projects, I gain the ability to deal with numerous practical difficulties in the implantation of ideas and tasks and overcome them with limited resources. My projects were successfully completed on time, with the guidance of technical experts from my college. Besides academics, I would also like to talk about my extracurricular indulgence where I participated in various national and international technical events held at various universities. In the third year, I was the coordinator for a technical event in an annual fest where I successfully carried a National level technical event of “Freeway” at my college. My name is Patrick Chege, am an experienced Structural Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the civil engineering industry. I am passionate about architecture and structural engineering. Self-driven, time conscious and an excellent team player are some of my core virtues. Working as a freelancer is our new normal during this period where social distancing is paramount. It is a practice that I have come to love, given the flexibility, the diverseness that comes with it and that it pays well for the professional services offered. I am Skilled in the design of structural concrete, timber, and steel in both the BS standards and Euro-codes, with over three years of working experience both in the office and on the construction site. I use Prokon, Masterseries and Autodesk Robot to do the analysis of the structure. I use AutoCAD for drafting and detailing. The structural drawings for buildings will usually include, foundation layouts, foundation reinforcement details, floor and beam layouts, floor and beam reinforcement detail, staircase reinforcement detail, column reinforcement detail and roof layouts and reinforcement detail. Apart from structural design i can also do an electrical plan layouts. I believe in reducing our carbon emissions and safeguarding our environment and thus will usually employ passive strategies to reduce dependency on non-renewable energy.
