Education

  • Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Bachelor of Mechanical Engineer, MECHANICAL EGINEERING, 7.8 2014 – 2018 Activities and Societies: Badminton, Hand drawing, swimming and painting I have successfully completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Distinction. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a strong foundation in mechanical systems, thermodynamics, energy conversion, and automotive engineering. My curriculum and hands-on experiences allowed me to explore innovative approaches to modern engineering challenges, with a special focus on sustainability and alternative energy sources.

As part of my final year in Mechanical Engineering, I undertook a project focused on exploring the potential of hydrogen and sub-element fuels derived from general agricultural seeds as viable and eco-friendly alternatives to conventional fossil fuels. The primary objectives were to enhance fuel efficiency, improve engine mileage, and significantly reduce harmful emissions. I was actively involved in extracting oils and hydrogen-rich compounds from seeds using transesterification and other chemical processing techniques. These fuels were then blended and tested on an internal combustion engine to analyze performance metrics such as brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption, and emission levels. The study revealed notable reductions in CO₂, CO, NOx, and HC emissions compared to traditional fuels. Additionally, I contributed to developing a basic model for integrating seed-based hydrogen fuels into engine systems and simulated combustion behavior under varying load conditions. This project was completed in a team of four, where I played a key role in experimentation, analysis, and final documentation, and we successfully presented our findings to the faculty and external evaluators. The outcome demonstrated the promising potential of bio-based hydrogen fuels in addressing pollution control and energy sustainability in the automotive sector.
