I have been in the mechanical design industry for more than 14 years as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist. I have worked closely with customers, welders, millwrights, machinists, and otherwise to create elegant and viable solutions for the forestry, mining, oil, and mobile equipment industries. I have a passion and aptitude for mechanical design which has been a veritable force throughout my personal and professional life. My experience has largely been involved in designing and detailing machined and fabricated parts, assemblies and systems, troubleshooting and improving efficiency and reliability, new product development, drive systems and customer service. I have years experience with industrial rotating equipment, material handling systems, mobile equipment, hydraulics, and electric drive systems. In my spare time I do photography, and like to build custom motorcycles, cars, and trucks as well as general metal work which include MIG and TIG welding, and manual machining. The latest addition to my garage is a 3D printer. I completed a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology at NAIT in 2007 and have since built a career in mechanical design with experience in the field, hands on and at a desk. Oil is the main component of bearing which sustain pressure as well as temperature of bearings. This test rig analyze different oils for given temperature and pressure and provide optimum results. This test rig improves the life of bearing and reduces cost by comparing and analyzing different fluids. Software used: Pro-E, Matlab 2. Wet cloth twister: It’s difficult for old and physically weak peoples to twist clothes. This products reduces twisting efforts and muscle pain. Software used: Unigraphics Nx 3. I Card Pin clamping fixture for riveting machine. It’s very difficult to insert spring and pin mechanism in I card pin manually. The spring and pin inserted by arrangement of toggle clamp mechanism and fixture. Software used: Solid Edge 4. Electric Tri-cycle with Gear Transmission. This Electric Tri-cycle basically use for public transportation, material handling in industry. Electrical Tri-cycle operated both mechanically and electrically. I am a second year mechanical engineering student, I'm highly driven and passionate about engineering and design. My personal hobbies include amateur rocketry, homebrewing beer and wine, fishing and astronomy. Nearly all my hobbies include my engineering passion to some degree, I love to build my own equipment from scratch, my own rockets from scratch, my own fishing lures and tackle, and telescope mounts. I currently work for a firm that designs, builds and certifies industrial lifting equipment. I've been involved in all aspects of the design process, from analyzing the factory/warehouse/site layout, determining adequacy of existing structures, creating weldments from structural steel to serve as load bearing members for cranes/ hoists, to finally the design of the under-the-hook lifting device (often using pneumatics or mechanical actuators). In my personal life, I've designed my home brewery, including a converted chest freezer into keg refrigerator/beer dispenser, and a climate controlled mini-fermentation room with multiple chambers for different fermentation temperatures. I'm also currently working on a amateur rocket with the goal of reaching Mach 1, which has seen me utilizing a lot of 3D printing custom components suited to transonic speeds from different plastics. My software proficiencies include: - 3DS Solidworks - Autodesk Inventor, 360 Fusion, and AutoCAD - Microsoft Visual Basic - Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word and Access)

I've worked with machines & engines that have a terrible design for one reason; the designer has no clue what its like to work with the machine itself. For example, the design requires a 8 hour down period for a simple bearing replacement. Designs need to be user friendly, majority of engineers don't understand this concept. They design it to work and work alone. A great engineer designs for quality, simple maintenance, cheapest fabrication, popular parts (bearings, worm screws, pillow blocks, etc.). My designs offer perfection, realism, and lowest fabrication cost.
