I am a Turner / Machinist by trade and currently studying towards a career in both Mechatronics and Process Instrumentation at a local university. I started with technical subjects as early as high school and progress onto to an entry level position in the drawing office of a automation company where I gained experience in methods of modular design and CAD packages such as Solid works and Autodesk Inventor. I enrolled into an apprenticeship program where I obtain my red seal in Turning and continued to increase my exposure to FMCG based manufacturing companies by working in various industries such as automotive , pharmaceutical and general manufacturing companies. I have been involved in both the installation, commissioning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in these industries and carry knowledge beyond the scope of just my current qualification. Therefor I have decides to enrolled at me local university in order to increase my theoretical knowledge on Electrical Engineering, specializing in Mechatronics and Process Instrumentation. My main interests is in industrial electronics and design of efficient and maintenance friendly equipment that is easily repaired and mostly modular in design.

I am a mechatronic engineering graduate from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. I have over 6 years of experience with Autodesk Inventor Professional through my studies, design competitions and personal projects. I also have limited experience with Creo parametric thanks to two stints of vacation training that I undertook with company that designs armoured personnel carriers. I have won the Stellenbosch Mechanical and Mechatronic Final Year Project “Best Use of Inventor” Prize for design and modelling in Autodesk Inventor in 2019.
