I was a mechanical design engineer at Seagate technology for 4 years. My part is about design automation machine. Also made some researched by using FEA. Now I'm a product engineer at a furniture company which I involve a lot about drafting and remodeling, also FEA still needed. I graduated my master degree, which my project was about analyzed micro clamp by using FA and FEA thru ANSYS.

I am a 30 year design veteran with 3D modeling skills dating back to 1997. I have designed equipment using Unigraphics (now NX), SolidWorks, and Inventor. I also have experience using AutoCAD 2D. I have worked in the fields of PSA adhesive coating, web handling, pumping and dispensing, and slot die coating. I also have done some secondary packaging machines and a wide variety of automation equipment. I worked 9 years for one of the most respected automation companies in the U.S., and lead design teams on projects over $3.5 M. I have been an independent design engineer for 14 years, and enjoy the variety and the different challenges that my customers bring to me.

• Mechanical design engineer with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University • Over 4 years of working experience in 3D modeling and structural analysis using CAD and FEA software programs • Thorough understanding of design and analysis procedures, and proper material selection to ensure safety and optimal functionality of final product • Demonstrated proficiency in using SolidWorks, CATIA and Ansys through various school projects and past internship experiences • My capstone project required me to design a compact device, from a bulkier version, which harnessed nano aqueous ozone generator device components. The device intends to replace commercial detergents in the market with nano aqueous ozonated water to kill microbes • My internship at Albabtain Power and Telecommunication Co. saw me design components such as base flange, poles, and other accessories and assembled these components together, created drawing sheets ready to be used by fabricators, and worked on optimizing the components for optimal performance and cost reduction • At ITW, I used Ansys to compare the performance of a regular steel dowels used in concrete to a waveform shaped joint and conducted a full factorial DoE on the said waveform joint to determine the design with optimal results.
