MSc Advanced Materials and Additive Manufacturing (Distinction) BEng Mechanical Engineering For my Masters Thesis project I designed an FDM printer modification, improving machine dynamics. I have in depth knowledge of the FDM process and how to optimise for: print speed, strength, and quality. Prize winner in many online 3D printing and design competitions, winning approximately £2000 worth of prizes in the past three years: Polymaker ‘3D printed hook tournament: Second place. A combination of mechanical engineering, creative design and DfAM to create the strongest possible 3D printed polymer hook (no closed loop) weighing less than 50g.
