Simple Wristband Attachment AccessoryBlind

in 3D Printing Design held by dbraun22
Contest Ended, Winner(s) have been selected.
This contest is to design a very simple wristband attachment accessory piece that can hold a piece of fabric that was cut in a circle. The overall shape of the piece is a football/oval shape. I am attaching some pictures to show a prototype that I made out of paper. There should be 2 triangle shaped holes on the 2 ends that I can attach the piece to. There should also be an inner circle where I can glue the circle cut of fabric. The inner circle should be indented about a millimeter inward from the flat surface to place the cut of fabric. The inner circle should also be 1/2 inches in diameter. There should also be an outline around that inner circle that is flat with the front surface and that outline circle should be a diameter that is about 6 millimeters wider than the inner circle. The overall piece should be about 1.25-1.5 inches long in width from end to end and about 5/8 inches in height from the tallest point in the middle of the piece. All of these measurement can be changed if needed to make the design better, but the inner piece that fits that fabric should be able to comfortably fit a piece of fabric that is 1/2 inches in diameter.
I want the piece to be able to be 3D printed in white. The dimensions should be as described in the description: 1.25-1.5 inches long, 5/8 inches high, and with the cuts and indentations that I described and are similar to the images for this contest posting. The overall piece should also be kept fairly thin because it is worn on a person's wrist.

Hi, this is my take on the design brief.
The only thing i have changed is the depth as 5/8" seemed a bit too heavy duty.
Please rate and let me know what you think.
Many thanks

Overall height was reduced to 3/8" because I thought 5/8" was too much. This model is very easy to print with any 3D printer as the base was left completely flat. Of course it can easily be tweaked and given a generous radius for a final design, but would not be ideal for printing.

Please let me know if any changes are require.
P.S. : I would suggest going for SLS as 3D-printing method and Nylon-6 as material. You would be able to get the details and desired functional strength for the design.

I made this quite thinner as you said it was going on a wrist and it needed to be comfortable. I thought that the triangles would be too fragile and might break off, so I made them circles. I curved the bottom so it would contour the wrist for comfort and I also rounded the corners. The hole for the fabric is to size and with a 1mm depth, it should hold the fabric quite nicely. I hope you enjoy and if there are any changes needed to be made, please let me know!

Please consider the attached wristband accessory design. It has been made to your specifications only slightly thinner. If you like the design I can alter it in any way you would like or tailor it to a specific 3D printing process such as FDM, SLA, or SLS. I have several years of experience in 3D printing and enjoy working closely with clients to design printable parts and accessories.

I've made the part as per requirements 1.3" long, 0.625" wide and 0.05" thick. I've also given the part little bend at the sides for more comfort at the wrist. For better cloth placement I've given some draft on the groove for cloth.
Due to bend on the part and holes and grooves, the part is difficult to print for a general 3D printer. So I've cut the part into 2 pieces for 3D printing and then the pieces can be joined.

I think that the requested height might be a bit too much considering you only want the indent to be 1mm. I think a height of 2/8 or 3/8 would look and function better. if interested I can rework.

Ring design with branches and bramble
We are looking for a ring that will eventually be printed in sterling, featuring bare branches. Ring band needs to resemble a branch (or branches), and the top of the ring needs branches wrapping about it. Inside this ring we'll be adding an element later, so we need a pocket underneath the branches that will fit an item that is approx 5mmx20mm. The design sketch shows a bit of a lip to the pocket from the side view, this will help keep the item in place. Once the design is approved, we'll need it in US sizes 5-13.
Design two symmetrical Rhombicuboctahedrons (Rohm' for short) for printing on Prusa 3D MK2. The 1st Rhom' needs to be made of 2 parts that can be connected to form the complete shape. The width of the Rhom' should be 100nn from face to face. Each edge of this Rhom' needs to have a 5mm high 'fence' sticking outward. Two inner benches or plates need to be constructed in the inner space of each of the halves. The 2nd Rhom' is also made of 2 parts but without fences and without benches. It is a simple Rhom'. It needs to fit exactly on the 1st Rhom' from the outside. so that the 1st Rohm' go inside the second one. The attached jpg and max files depict the 1st Rhom'. However the max file is full of mistakes and should not be used as anything but as a general reference. Nor the 'fences' need to be constructed as V shape as in the max files. Please ask me anything which is not clear.
look for someone to setup a 3d file from png file we are Official MOD Approved Merchandise with over 3000 badge we are an DTG pprinter company but we going into 3d printing and need files for this side of the work please find a copy of one of the badge
Clear Plastic Case
I am looking for a round clear plastic case design to be 3D printed for a prototype. This is very generic. The case should be 4.5 inches in diameter, round tapered off around the edge, and approximately 1 inch thick at the center, tapering off to about .25 inches until edges connect. The front and back should be of equal dimensions and attached by plastic and opens and closes, and snaps closed. The back should be black plasting, and the front should be clear plastic. This case would be very similar to something like a round eyelash case holder, or something that might hold ear buds.
3D Printing Design | Meet the minimum thinkness on two small parts of my 3D STL file for Shapeways!
I need someone to make a certain part of my 3D anchor stl file a little thicker. Nothing complicated at all! The guy that was working on this file is really swamped with work and cannot complete this edit. This job should literally take less than 30 minutes if you know what you are doing. On the attached picture it shows that I need to make specific parts of the anchor a little thicker to meet the minimum supported wire thickness of .8mm. Here's what the email I recieved from shapeways said: "Here is why we cannot print your model: The minimum thickness for free/supporting wires > 1.0mm and supported wires > 0.8mm for this material. Please thicken the wires of the model." I have specified what needs to be done on the picture attached. Please message me if you need clarification. If you know what you are doing and have worked with stl. files and understand the thickness minimum that shapeways requires for 3d printing then this should be a no-brainer.
