Awesome creations so far! We're not sure how to do this but we pressed "nominate" on the models we liked the most.

We haven't put much thought into it but it would be nice to have it printable. About putting on blind contest we see who entered first if they are inspired of each other.

I believe that dimensions are not a problem, as you would like the model scale-able :) right ?

Great contest, Could you please contact the administrator to make the contest blind, it is a option available to you, this way designers will not "be inspired" by others, and originality will happen. :) thanks!

Model for mohs surgery
We would like to create a 3D model for mohs surgery showing the way layers of skin are removed to track out roots of skin cancer Here is a diagram that reviews the technique. https://goo.gl/images/Ly85Qz These different pieces will have a counter sunk hole so we can glue a small neo magnet and hold it together Attached you'll find a basic idea of what we want here.
Maleficent horn replica
Hello, I'm looking to have an exact replica of the horns worn by Angelina Jolie in the movie Maleficent, to be 3D printed. I need them to be as exact as humanly possible - I have attached a few images of the actual cast used for the horns in the movie and then a few of the finished headdress. I would be interested in having either a cap or a band designed in to attach the horns to each other and make building the headdress around them easier - I think a band would be preferable. In the movie it seems as though the overall length of the horns are about 11 inches, which is perfect. I would like all the details such as the growth rings, small details on the inside of the horns near the tip and the shape/width at the base in tact. I will be building a headdress around them so I suppose colour isn't massively important, but if they could be black that would be preferable.
Simple Wristband Attachment Accessory
This contest is to design a very simple wristband attachment accessory piece that can hold a piece of fabric that was cut in a circle. The overall shape of the piece is a football/oval shape. I am attaching some pictures to show a prototype that I made out of paper. There should be 2 triangle shaped holes on the 2 ends that I can attach the piece to. There should also be an inner circle where I can glue the circle cut of fabric. The inner circle should be indented about a millimeter inward from the flat surface to place the cut of fabric. The inner circle should also be 1/2 inches in diameter. There should also be an outline around that inner circle that is flat with the front surface and that outline circle should be a diameter that is about 6 millimeters wider than the inner circle. The overall piece should be about 1.25-1.5 inches long in width from end to end and about 5/8 inches in height from the tallest point in the middle of the piece. All of these measurement can be changed if needed to make the design better, but the inner piece that fits that fabric should be able to comfortably fit a piece of fabric that is 1/2 inches in diameter.
3D Printing Design | Meet the minimum thinkness on two small parts of my 3D STL file for Shapeways!
I need someone to make a certain part of my 3D anchor stl file a little thicker. Nothing complicated at all! The guy that was working on this file is really swamped with work and cannot complete this edit. This job should literally take less than 30 minutes if you know what you are doing. On the attached picture it shows that I need to make specific parts of the anchor a little thicker to meet the minimum supported wire thickness of .8mm. Here's what the email I recieved from shapeways said: "Here is why we cannot print your model: The minimum thickness for free/supporting wires > 1.0mm and supported wires > 0.8mm for this material. Please thicken the wires of the model." I have specified what needs to be done on the picture attached. Please message me if you need clarification. If you know what you are doing and have worked with stl. files and understand the thickness minimum that shapeways requires for 3d printing then this should be a no-brainer.
