About
Hi, I have been in engineering for 40 years, 15 years in the UK-MOD - aerospace industry and 25 years in oil & gas industry. I served a 5 year apprenticeship in the 70’s with Ferranti-UK working on various radar systems packaging mechanical and electronic components. I then move into the oil industry assisting in the design of subsea tools and ROV’s. I then moved into pipelaying equipment and associated vessels.
I classify myself as a Design Draughtsman and have worked in the following areas: mechanical, electronics, hydraulics & structural. I started on a manual drawing board and progressed to CAD back in the 80's, I now use Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for 3D models and 2D drawings.
I have worked as a staff employee and contractor, and now have my own company with licensed software and hardware.
