About
My name is Mayuresh Sonawane, and I am currently working as a Medical Device New Product Development (NPD) Engineer. My role involves taking medical devices from concept to prototype and product realization by combining mechanical design, product development, rapid prototyping, and design validation.
Over the course of my career, I have built strong expertise in end-to-end product development, including plastic part design, sheet metal design, mechanism development, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), GD&T, BOM creation, FEA, CFD, and both FDM and SLA 3D printing. I am proficient in SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, ANSYS, AutoCAD, KiCad, and PLM tools such as PTC Windchill.
Before joining NeoSense, I worked with companies in robotics, industrial automation, and valve manufacturing. Those roles gave me valuable experience in robotic mechanisms, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), industrial product design, and manufacturing processes, which now helps me design reliable, manufacturable medical devices.
I completed my M.Tech in Mechatronics and Automation, and I enjoy solving complex engineering challenges by transforming ideas into production-ready products. My goal is to contribute to innovative, high-impact product development while continuously expanding my expertise in medical devices and advanced engineering design.
