About
I'm Mehdi Khan, a Marine System Designer with a specialization in mechanical system design. Over the course of my academic experience, I've had the opportunity to work on different projects related to the design of various auxiliary systems of ships, including fuel systems, lube oil systems, and propulsion systems, and have conducted analysis on propulsion technology for 105m Arctic OPVs.
I'm proficient in using different software programs such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, GHS, and Matlab, which allows me to provide clients with a comprehensive range of services.
Currently, I'm working on a project that involves 3D modeling of an engine room for a 105m Arctic OPV, based on ice-breaking safety regulations from Lloyd's Registrar. My expertise in marine engineering and naval architecture allows me to provide detailed analysis and comprehensive design solutions.
As a Marine System Designer, I am committed to providing clients with the best possible solutions that meet their specific needs. Clients can expect a high level of expertise, not only limited to marine system design but also different mechanical piping system, and a dedication to delivering exceptional results.

Propulsion Technology
-Determining the ice conditions in the vessel's intended operating area.
-Select the appropriate propulsion system, taking into account factors such as power output, speed, and maneuverability.
-Choose the most suitable propeller design to maximize efficiency in ice conditions.
-Optimize the arrangement of the propulsion system to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency. Consider incorporating advanced technologies, such as hybrid propulsion or waste heat recovery, to further improve efficiency.
-Conduct thorough testing and simulation to ensure the performance of the propulsion system meets the vessel's requirements.
