Rene Kruger is interested in a wide range of mechanical engineering. This love for mechanics and drawings developed through getting employed at a gutter company about 4 years ago. Rene's first major project was designing, drawing and assembling a fascia roll forming machine, which was followed by a molding machine as well as a downspout machine. After getting his first freelance request done and paid for, Rene is now setting himself up as a freelance designer on AutoCAD and Solidworks. Rene uses time effectively and works precise. I have a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Central University of Technology (2014) and a Bachelor of Technology degree from the University of South Africa (2020). My experience includes working as an Apprentice Fitter and Turner in a Steel Manufacturing Company for over 2 years and then as a Junior Engineer at a Consulting Company for more than 6 years. Currently, I am employed as a Mechanical Draughtsman with MV Switchgear manufacturer starting June 2022. I am a lifelong learner and use my free time to acquire new skills through personal projects. My areas of interest include Mechanical Design, CAD Draughting, Finite Element Analysis, Structural Design, Scripting, and Automation. I am proficient in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Nastran, ANSYS, VB.NET(i-logic) and Microsoft Office
