My name is Aaron Wilz and I am a mechanical engineer with over 5 years of experience in a fast paced, industry leading high quality design environment where I am actively working on consumer products. My background is in mechanical engineering design and analysis of custom plastic injection molded parts, diecasting, and metal stamping/forming. This includes everything from conceptual design and material selection, through design tolerance and stress analysis, to prototype and production level tooling. Prior to becoming an engineer, I worked through college as a TIG welder and offer a hands-on approach to problem solving and prototyping.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently working at Aerotech Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer in their Research and Development department. I have over 4 years CAD experience in software including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and ANSYS. I have approximately 9 months of full time engineering design experience, but also did design work through all 4 years of college. I also have a background in matlab and python programming.
