While continuing with that practice I moved on to 2d drafting in AutoCAD, and after becoming proficient moved into both architectural drafting and mechanical modeling. After beginning my early college years I was able to earn a certification in SolidWorks and began fulfilling clients needs in 3d modeling. Hi there! My name is Kevin Moreno and I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech researching mechanical vibrations. Although vibrations research is my passion, I have spent countless hours modeling and designing mechanical systems on Solidworks and ANSYS for my own research, class projects, and processing 3D printing requests during my time working at Terrapin Works. One of my biggest accomplishments with 3D modeling and mechanical design was being the team lead for my senior design project. My team designed a lifting mechanism designed to help physically limited people put heavy items onto their shopping carts at the store.
