I have experience with solidworks, creo, inventor, NX, autocad, ansys, etc. I work on embedded electronics and have some knowledge of electrical safety and considerations to implement in my designs. I have an associates degree in Engineering Design Technology and I plan to return to school to obtain a bachelors degree in Engineering. I graduated top of my class; I was trained in a variety of engineering fields with different types of software. I began my career at an Architectural Design firm where i made on site visits to homes, created floor plan sketches, and created as-builts of the homes and aided in the redesign of the homes. I currently work at a Landscape Design Firm where I create luxury outdoor living spaces including pools, hardscapes, irrigation, outdoor lighting, outdoor structures, and landscaping. I create the base maps of residential properties using surveys of the property and then create proposed site plans of what the client desires. I then use the approved site plan to create a rendering using Sketchup and Lumion to give the client a more realistic feel to their outdoor space.

Hundreds of hours of experience using SolidWorks on my FRC Team to model our whole robot prototype. My first season, I was the only team member interested in CAD, so I did the whole thing myself, including the subassemblies for the intake system, electronics panel, drive train, etc. Gained my baseline experience with creating new parts, importing McMaster parts into assemblies, and working with subassemblies. Also learned very early on to deal with the small frustrations that inevitably come with CAD, and that it just takes patience/time to work through these in the end. Since then, I have taken the course in SolidWorks through my college and attained my CSWA certification at the end of that course. I gained more detailed knowledge about the features in SolidWorks such as ribs, shells, and surfacing techniques, as well as advanced mates in assemblies, among other skills. I also worked part-time for a company during the last 6 months of the school year, and provided CAD support for the whole company during my time there. I gained more practice with the skills I already had, and learned how to use the animation feature to create a rendered video of an assembly moving. CSWP certified as of 5/30/2023

I am a recent engineering graduate. I have created 3D and 2D drawings in school, during my internship, and at my current employer. I learned through school how to use solidworks. Since then I have been using Fusion 360, Inventor, and Autocad to create the products needed. In school, I created a speedy reducer assembly from the solidworks book. In my internship I designed tools, and floor plans. At my current employer I design parts for machinery such as scraper plates, keys, and wheels to be produced in our fabrication/3D print shop.
