My name is Alexandru Titus Cristea. I’m a certified mechanical and product development engineer with over 4 years of industry experience in designing functional, manufacturable mechanical components and assemblies. Currently, I am employed as a Product Development Engineer Leader in the steering wheel manufacturing sector. In this role, I’m responsible for leading the mechanical design of sub-assemblies and complete systems, ensuring full alignment with DFM/DFA principles and compliance with industry-specific quality standards. I collaborate directly with OEM customers and Tier-1 suppliers, managing both internal and external engineering deliverables. Key Technical Capabilities: • CAD Design: Advanced 3D part and assembly modeling, surfacing, and motion simulation using SolidWorks. • Technical Documentation: Production-ready 2D drawings, complete with tolerances, GD&T, and BOMs. • Reverse Engineering: Experience replicating physical components through manual measurements and CAD reconstruction. • Manufacturing-Oriented Design: Designs optimized for CNC machining, plastic injection molding, and 3D printing, with full understanding of material and process constraints. • End-to-End Workflow: Involvement from concept development and prototyping through to validation and final assembly.
