At Plasser Australia, our design team innovates and elevates railway track machine performance. We focus on improving design processes, mentoring teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, all aimed at enhancing machine efficiency. My ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to different engineering software and packages enables me to drive innovation and stay ahead in an ever-evolving field. Previously at BAE Systems Australia, I facilitated a major maritime vessel upgrade and provided technical leadership to junior engineers. As a Chartered Professional Engineer, my core competencies in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering discipline fuse with practical leadership, shaping solutions that are resourceful, efficient and safe.

My educational background is in Instrumentation,Applied Physics and mechanical engineering. I studied at: -University of Poitiers in France -Strathclyde University in the UK, -the prestigious Technical University of Munich in Germany, -QUT in Brisbane in Australia. I am a driven, creative and organised executive engineer. I have been a company director since 2011, and this shows up in the way I cut to the chase, build strategies and plans, track progress, report and interact with people. I only do high-quality research and modeling. My moto is: first time right. I delegate simpler work and do all the really challenging work and peer reviews myself. I have reached the stage in my career where projects in any industry are similar. If it flows, I can design it. For example, the set-up of the CFD with waves for the marine industry is identical to the set-up of an electromagnetic radiation model. The waves need to be dampened at the boundaries of the models so that the model is not riddled with non-physical reflected waves. Setting up a mesh (pixelisation of the geometry on which the equations are calculated) for a marine foil has exactly the quality criteria as a mesh of a heat exchanger. In all R&D projects, spending between a few days to a few weeks in the most complex cases, enables me to become an expert in the field. My favorite type of project is R&D. I love going deep, learning new things, planing and figuring out how something’s going to work and how to optimise it. I have used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) professionally since 2006. After a thorough CFD software comparison, I selected Siemens STAR-CCM+ and I have used it exclusively ever since. Star-CCM+ is a high productivity CFD software, equivalent to ANSYS Fluent. For more information: resolvedanalytics.com/theflux/comparing-cfd-software-part-4-comprehensive-cfd-software-packages My first job (9 years) was in building physics, for a premium building services consultancy. I set up the CFD modelling capability from scratch, and I became the CFD expert in the Australian Standards 1668.2 committee. I performed CFD modelling for: ventilation (natural and mechanical), fire, active facades conjugate heat transfer, pollutant dispersion and wind. My performance-based designs saved carpark owners and contractors 100,000's of $. I spent most of 5 years researching active facades that store energy and redirect sunlight deep in the building. I modelled heat transfer, phase change and radiation in the CFD software. In 2015, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and I moved back to France temporarily with my family to look after my parents. I decided to start a "portable" consulting and supercomputing business and called it trampoCFD. Trampo for trampoline: my secret weapon to keep a creative mind is an Olympic trampoline break multiple times a day. I applied my CFD knowledge to improve process performance in many different industries: pneumatic conveyors, mining classifier, injectors, factory, vertical farm and carpark HVAC, irrigation, ohmic heating, coffee machine, marine and wind power generation to name a few. My skills include: -dilution/dispersion, -mixing, -Multi-phase and phase change (Free surface flow, evaporation/condensation, melting/solidification) -Electromagnetics (Joule's effect, Ionic wind, electromagnet) -DEM (grain, sand) -Conjugate heat transfer -Automation -Optimization -Moving bodies -CAD: Solidworks and NX -FEA: Electromagnetic static or dynamic simulations In 2019, Siemens approved me as a software reseller, which means Siemens recognised my ability to provide technical support to CFD engineers on Star-CCM+. This enables me to continue helping my clients once they develop an in-house CFD capability. In 2020, I became the lead CFD engineer of a group of 4 engineers and 2 developers who take on the most complex CFD and multiphysics consulting projects . I hope the above summary gives you a clear idea of my capability. I would love to discuss your project. Please get in touch! Throughout my professional experiences I have developed strong expertise in 3D modelling (drafting), rapid prototyping (3D printing) and tooling / building new designs. My specialty lies with my talents of research, communication, and imagination - providing the ability to derive a realistic design from a given idea. I have extensive experience in drafting 3D models from spoken ideas in the office environment, which are then used in communication and negotiation strategies with stakeholders. I have often rendered 3D models to photorealistic quality (Blender and Fusion 360 software) and been able to utilise my visual design expertise to further modify the resulting 2D images (Photoshop and GIMP). These skills have been used in manufacture, simulation, selling, and simple ideation. To substantiate my claims, I have six years of experience as a design engineer, consistently finding myself in a seat for researching, concepting, and communicating solutions. I have a diverse skillset and deep knowledge base in the context of robotics. Within my most recent office, I engineered designs for industrial automation of innovative robotic solutions. Projects have featured large-scale cartesian gantries and robot arms, as well as small-scale benchtop instruments and miniature devices. Furthermore, in this role I have: • Completed conceptual, embodiment, and detailed designs using 3D CAD packages. • Led the generation of successful quotes for robotic solutions. • Developed a problem-solving skill for robotics, having explored the pros and cons of various robotic solutions in great depth. • Refined interpersonal skills, representing the company in meetings with valued clients at all project stages. To provide discipline and direction to the use of my skillset, within my second most recent office I worked as an R&D engineer for IVD medical devices - a very heavily regulated industry. I steadily earned promotion to a leadership position as the department's Quality and Process Coordinator, demonstrating initiatives that led to a more intelligent and refined workplace culture. I can be contacted by phone ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ or by email ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ I can guarantee a response within 24 hours. If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate - I don't bite!

I grew up in the kitchen industry in a family owned business in South Africa. I moved to Sydney in 2014 and am currently working for myself doing freelance designing. I provide 3D Designs on ArtiCad, which I enhance on AI, featuring Flythroughs if desired. The technical elevations and stone worktop drawings are done on Cabinet Vision and are very useful for the factory and tradesmen. Here in Sydney, I am able to send my work Screen to CNC Nesting Machine, as well as providing a list of all materials and hardware for ordering. Residential Joinery is my passion and speciality, including butler's pantry ,laundry, mudroom, media room, walk-in robe, bathroom vanity and alfresco kitchen designs.
