I need a 3d design.

Think of a signboard like this:

And now we need it smaller and more fashionable. So that someone can hold it like this:

The pole should be one that can be expanded with the push of a button. The pole will go up to a max of 12 feet. And when no expanded it will be 6 feet.

The pole should have 3 buttons on it. 1 button will increase the height of the pole, the 2nd button will decrease the height of the pole. And the 3rd button should lower a stand so that the user can set the sign board down and not have to hold it.

You see how the button makes the umbrella open and then close. I want the same the thing. if the person click the button then pole will extend and if they click it again it will go back down

Oh also can you make it look kinda futuristic. Do you know what a lightsaber is?

So like on the outside of the pole. I want the plastic with the light inside. So it glows. So that it will be strong on the inside, and then on the outside there will be a glowing light to make it look cool

On top of the signboard will be a cheap lcd screen. This screen will display text or an image on it.

The pole shouldn't be too heavy but it should be strong enough to securely hold the lcd screen on top. The wires should run inside the pole and nothing should be shown outside.

I am attaching an image of something really basic but similar to what I am looking for.

@Cstringer - Yes this is something that I want to build.

@Streersman - Um. I haven't thought of it like that. Would a mechanical mechanism be easier and cheaper? And for the lightsaber guide, I was actually thinking like a steel pole inside or something sturdy but not too heavy that can support the sign, and the plastic would be around the steel pole just for looks. I don't want the plastic to support anything, its just purely for looks. And most of the places that it will be used are indoors so there will not be much wind. We just need a base that can stabilize the sign if it's on the ground.

@saurabh5496 - The pole will expand up to 12 feet. And the sign on top will be 2ft X 1ft or 2ft X 2ft.

An interesting challenge, but I don't understand its actual purpose, or why anyone would want such a thing.
Electric powered poles seems over sophisticated. Why not a simple mechanical mechanism. Also, the light sabre you guide us to is made of plastic for the light to emit. For a twelve foot high sign, I think plastic might be too flimsy unless it is very large diameter..

Also, about the base. if the sign is to be left unattended, then the base needs to be substantial in order to prevent it being blown down in the wind. I would expect it to be made of concrete.

Can you elaborate please?

3DS MAX - Media Room Lighting render

First stage of the project is producing the model and supplying it along with just 1 render. The model is to showcase mood lighting in the room. The next phase of the project will be the same shot, from exactly the same place, just rendered with different lighting / moods as instructed by client. Ongoing work for successful applicant.
17 foot Wood Drift Boat
This contest will be for the most accurate CONSTRUCTION PLANS for a WOODEN DRIFT BOAT HULL. Key features include: 5 piece hull. 5 pieces will be created separately on a table, covered in fiberglass and Kevlar, then stitched and glued together to create the shape of the hull. 1. The Bottom. (1) 3/4" Plascore (honeycomb poly material) measuring approximately 14'6" long X 60" wide. The basic shape of the bottom of this hull will be similar to a "football". However, I would like at least 4 foot STRAIGHT sections running down both sides of the hull (4 foot straight chines). This will aid in the handling of the drift boat. The 14'6" length will be lifted at both the bow and stern ends approximately 5" (rocker). Both the bow and the stern will be identical from one another, so you will only need to draw half of the boat, copy, rotate and attach to finish the plans. 2. The sides. (2) 9mm Okume plywood sides that will measure approximately 18-19 feet long and will range in height from +/-16" to 22" tall. The goal will be to create curved side panels 22" tall in the center of the boat where the oar locks will be attached for a section of at least 1 foot on either side of center. 16-18 inch middle sections for ease of entry into the boat that will gradually slope to meet, and 16" sections at the bow and stern. This should include the end angles where the sides will meet the bottom of the hull, and the bow and stern sections. Obviously all up for adjustment to get the overall shape of the hull to look correct anf for ease of construction. 3. The Bow and stern. This is the difficult part of the boat and the real reason for my contest. To create (2) conical or half-cylinder shapes from 3mm pieces of Okume Plywood that will be bent and laminated 3 times to match the side thickness. This will include the dimensions and angles for attaching that curved transom to the sides and the bottom of the Plascore panels to create an appropriate fit. 3mm Okume can be bent into about an 18" circle, so curves with a radius down to about 8" are possible depending on the grain. I have included a photo of a similar boat hull that has already been built per my design. However, this was done entirely by trial and error and cannot be duplicated. It is also smaller than the specifications in these plans. My goal is to end up with a set of plans that would allow this hull shape to be recreated. NOTE: The interior layout of the boat will be modeled in the future. Additional design work may be possible for the winner of this contest. For that reason, please include a centerline on both axis to use a measuring point for interior layout.
