About

Hi, my name is Thomas Rebbe and I'd love to work with you! Mechanical design and engineering is my passion. I have years of experience using AutoCAD and Fusion 360, as well as professional training using SolidWorks, PTC Creo Parametric, and Revit. In my prior work, I created many 3D models and 2D blueprints of existing parts, either transferring physical to digital, translating 2D to 3D or laying out 3D in 2D. I also have worked in milling shops, both designing and personally machining parts and assemblies for clients. I bring this hands-on knowledge into my design process to help create and refine designs that are effective in concept and in practice to be manufacturable and fulfill the requirements needed for the part.

Experience

  • Administrative Assistant Valta Management LLC · Full-time Sep 2015 – Nov 2020 5 yrs 2 mos Camarillo, CA, United States At Valta Management, my duties were task planning and coordinating, spreadsheet creation and organization, document scanning, filing, and preparation, work server organization and management, data entry, general accounting assistance, account reconciliation, and IT assistance.
  • CAD/CAM Techincian Connexion Design · Full-time Aug 2019 – Mar 2020 7 mos Camarillo, CA, United States At Connexion Design, I created and updated 3D models and CAM toolpaths for the parts we manufactured, along with their corresponding blueprints and setup sheets. While my primary job was CAD/CAM drafting, I also cut stock, set up the 5-axis HAAS milling machines, ran the operations, and checked tolerances to make sure each part we made was correct and to help fulfill rush orders for our clients. This job allowed me to have hands-on experience with the entire design and manufacturing process, giving me valuable insight to design not only for the part alone, but planning in how it will be manufactured and assembled with other components.

Education

  • Ventura College Certificate of Achievement in Drafting Design, Mechanical Drafting 2019 – 2020 I first learned how to use AutoCAD design software in my Junior year of High School. Since then I was always fascinated with CAD, drafting, design, and modeling. I took any classes I could to further my knowledge and skill in any design and modeling program I could, which led me to learn AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Fusion 360, Solidworks, PTC Creo 3.0, Revit, and Rhino 6. I also used Fusion 360 in my spare time for personal projects and ideas, as it is free for personal use and a very capable program. I bring all that I have learned in school, at home, and at work together whenever I design and work on any project.
  • Moorpark College N/A, Mechanical Engineering 2015 – 2019
