My name is Janith, and I am a passionate engineer who graduated from the esteemed Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka. With a strong educational foundation and a drive for innovation, I have carved a successful career path as an Automation and Design Engineer.
Currently, I am working at Effective Engineering and Automation, where I have been able to apply my engineering knowledge and expertise in automation to contribute significantly to the company's success. As an Automation and Design Engineer, I play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge solutions that optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
Throughout my professional journey, I have gained valuable experience at Midas Safety Sri Lanka Pvt Ltd, where I have been involved in numerous challenging and rewarding projects. My hands-on experience has allowed me to refine my skills and broaden my understanding of the engineering industry.
Some of the noteworthy projects I have undertaken include:
Small Scale Ball Mill: I successfully designed and implemented a small-scale ball mill, a vital equipment used in various industries for grinding materials into fine powder. The mill's automation and precise control have improved the efficiency and output of the grinding process.
Chemical Mixing Agitator: Developing an automated agitator for chemical mixing, I have ensured precise and consistent blending of substances, leading to better product quality and reduced manufacturing time.
Glove Dipping Tank: In this project, I engineered an automated glove dipping tank, which streamlined the process of manufacturing gloves. The automation has not only increased production capacity but also improved the overall safety of the manufacturing process.
Bottle Cap Placing and Tightener: For an efficient bottling line, I designed and implemented an automated system that accurately places bottle caps and tightens them with optimal torque. This has significantly increased the speed and accuracy of the bottling process.

I have had the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and robotics. Designing and implementing automation solutions, I have been able to optimize production lines, reduce human error, and enhance overall productivity for numerous manufacturing and industrial facilities.
In the domain of machine design, I have played a crucial role in conceptualizing, prototyping, and finalizing designs for a diverse range of machines. My proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software has allowed me to translate ideas into detailed blueprints and 3D models, considering factors like functionality, safety, and manufacturability.
