About
I'm a final-year Industrial Mechanical Engineering student at Universidad de la República (Uruguay), graduating in December 2026. For 1 year and 8 months I worked part-time (6 h/day) at BRAVNN, an engineering consultancy: I designed pipe supports and lifting and access structures, checked them with finite element analysis in Autodesk Inventor and AxisVM, and produced their fabrication drawings and calculation reports. For my capstone project I modeled a plant's steam piping in AutoCAD Plant 3D, and I direct AI coding agents (Claude Code) in my own projects.

Experience
- Engineering Assistant BRAVNN · Part-time Jun 2024 – Feb 2026 1 yrs 8 mos Montevideo Montevideo Department, Uruguay Designed all secondary pipe supports and pipe shoes for LUMIN's new plant in Uruguay: over 170 supports (about 10 t of steel), checked with about 20 finite element studies in Inventor, then fabricated and installed. Designed lifting beams rated up to 27.2 t, truck tarping platforms and steel stairs (Inventor, AxisVM, AutoCAD, Advance Steel). Drew 100+ drawing sheets, mostly steel fabrication drawings, and wrote 30+ calculation reports, signed by the engineer in charge.
Education
- Universidad de la República (Udelar) Engineering degree (5 years), Industrial Mechanical Engineering 2020 – 2026 Five-year university engineering degree: 450 credits (about 6,750 hours of student work). Coursework: heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, fluid machines, combustion and refrigeration. Graduating in December 2026.
Other experience
- Capstone project (2026): steam system of a freeze-dried fruit plant Team of 3. Freeze-dried fruit plant, 620 t/year (up to 17.6 t/day of fresh fruit): feasibility study and technical design. I designed the steam system (3,000 kg/h boiler, distribution and condensate return): drew the P&ID and modeled 806 m of piping with 117 valves in AutoCAD Plant 3D, from pipe routes generated by AI-written scripts. I also designed the compressed air system (14.72 Nm³/min, two compressors in a 1+1 setup), drew the plant layout in AutoCAD and the water and air P&IDs in Plant 3D, and wrote a large part of the water system report. Final project of my engineering degree at Universidad de la República (Udelar).
