Lead Mechanical Design Engineer on three UKAEA Fusion Industry Programme projects, delivering sealed pressurised electrolysers and isotope separator assemblies from concept to testing. Designed pressure boundaries, internals and sealing solutions (gaskets, O‑rings, metal seals) in Inventor and AutoCAD, and produced detailed GA layouts with Swagelok piping, wiring and structural elements in collaboration with control and instrumentation engineers. Supported mass spectrometry and electrolysis test campaigns (setup, modifications, documentation) and used 3D printing and CNC machining in materials such as PEEK for rapid prototyping and design validation. Produced 3D models, BS 8888‑compliant drawings and BOMs, resolving design‑for‑manufacture issues with suppliers and workshop teams.
