• Electric Vehicle Specialist – Senior Design Engineer Orel Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. · Full-time Aug 2022 – Mar 2023 7 mos undefined, Sri Lanka I leveraged my SolidWorks and CAD design expertise to successfully convert a gasoline-powered auto rickshaw into an electric vehicle, where I designed and modeled critical components such as motor mounting brackets, the battery enclosure, and motor driver compartment, while also customizing axles to fit the new powertrain system. Additionally, I applied advanced CAD techniques to design and fabricate an entire electric four-wheel cargo vehicle prototype, including the chassis, body, suspension, and brake systems. Throughout the project, I utilized in-house sheet metal facilities to design and fabricate the body panels in a cost-effective manner, showcasing my ability to deliver complete vehicle design solutions using SolidWorks.
• Automation Design Engineer Taprobane Coconut · Full-time Oct 2019 – Dec 2021 2 yrs 2 mos undefined, Sri Lanka As an Automation Design Engineer at Taprobane Coconut, I utilized CAD design and fabrication skills to develop a coconut chip cutting machine. This machine was designed to precisely cut coconut meat into 0.5mm thick chips, enhancing the efficiency and consistency of production. From concept to fabrication, I handled the entire process, showcasing my ability to translate design concepts into functional automated solutions for small-scale manufacturing.
