With over 23 years of work experience in the manufacturing industry, I am a skilled and versatile Tools Design Engineer with a passion for creating and improving products and processes. My core competencies include 3D Computer Aided Design (3D CAD), CNC Programming, and Additive Manufacturing. I have a Journeyman's in Mold Making Tech, I have built and repaired die cast and plastic tools for over 10 years. I value quality, innovation, and collaboration, and I strive to deliver optimal solutions that meet the needs and expectations of the customers and the company. In my current role, I am responsible for designing die cast and plastic injection tooling from part modeling to full tool design using Siemens NX. In my previous role I managed the CNC department, scheduling machines, programming, and training operators on different machine controls and operations. Additionally, I am also in the additive manufacturing services using a range of FDM and SLA 3D printers. I have extensive experience in mechanical design and part development, and I started my additive journey in 2014. Through these diverse and challenging experiences, I have developed and demonstrated my proficiency in 3D CAD, CNC, SLA, and other manufacturing processes and technologies. I am a CAD design professional with 2 years experience in Solidworks and 3 years in Fusion 360. My expertise is primarily in mechanical design. I have spent 7 years in aircraft maintenance working on turboprop engines and propellers which has given me a breadth of hands-on experience in constructional theory and part design. Over the past 7 years, I worked closely with engineers while analyzing technical drawings to improve parts and identify a root cause of failure.
