I’m a Senior in Highschool in pursuit of some sort of way to apply my engineering skills in areas other than school. InAugust I will being going to school for Aerospace Engineering and I'd like to start saving to pay for it. I've been doing CAD for the past 4 years in school in my drafting classes, partially with my High school and partially with a local college. I have been involved in every step of the product development process--from initial ideation and prototyping to failure testing and inspection. I have also completed a number of reverse engineering projects. I am an experienced user of SolidWorks, PTC Creo, and Siemens NX. I currently use OnShape for CAD and drawing needs, unless a specific program request is made. I graduated in 2002 and started my career as a piping designer. I worked directly with a mechanical engineer in large projects in retail stores, industrial manufacturing plants, commercial office buildings, and schools. After 3 years I moved to an HVAC designing position, designing and drawing HVAC systems for permit and construction. After the economic hit in the late 2000's I moved to a software management position. Currently I oversee, support, and control all of our BIM software, which includes AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Fabrication CADmep, Fabrication ESTmep, and Fabrication CADduct. I've developed our processes and procedures, along with the entire BIM coordination workflow.
