I am a mechanical engineer with experience in the design and development of consumer products and medical devices. I have been involved in every step of the product development process--from initial ideation and prototyping to failure testing and inspection. I have also completed a number of reverse engineering projects. I am an experienced user of SolidWorks, PTC Creo, and Siemens NX. I currently use OnShape for CAD and drawing needs, unless a specific program request is made. Also, with a background in visual art, I am used to working closely with industrial and graphic designers and creating reports and presentations for marketing teams and customers.

Hi there! My name is Colin Cormier. I'm new to CadCrowd, but I'm a freelance product designer in the Cincinnati area with focuses in CAD, fabrication, and prototyping. I've completed work for P&G, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Boeing, and Sauder among many others over the 5 years I've spent in the field. When I'm not busy building stuff, I teach 3D modeling and rapid prototyping at my alma mater, the University of Cincinnati. I graduated in 2002 and started my career as a piping designer. I worked directly with a mechanical engineer in large projects in retail stores, industrial manufacturing plants, commercial office buildings, and schools. After 3 years I moved to an HVAC designing position, designing and drawing HVAC systems for permit and construction. After the economic hit in the late (hidden)&#(hidden);s I moved to a software management position. Currently I oversee, support, and control all of our BIM software, which includes AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Fabrication CADmep, Fabrication ESTmep, and Fabrication CADduct. I've developed our processes and procedures, along with the entire BIM coordination workflow.
