I am an MSc Aerospace Engineering graduate from the University of Leicester (UK) with hands-on experience in SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS FEA structural analysis, STAR-CCM+ CFD aerodynamic and thermofluids analysis, DFMA, GD&T, BOM creation, and detailed engineering drawing production. Hello! My name is Alex. I come from an academic background in Civil Engineering as well as completing a Master degree in Digital Media. I have a passion for solving complex design problems-- always aiming to achieve efficiency, aesthetic appeal, and design optimization in my work. I currently work as a Design Engineer, where my job requires me to run through the design conceptualization process, moving conceptual work into a 3D CAD model (typically using Inventor, AutoCAD 3D, or Rhino), and finally sending manufacturing/fabrication drawings (2D drawings and design manuals) off to either the in-house or third party fabrication parties.
