My company, Caradoc Design Engineering Ltd, provides a chartered engineering design, analysis and calculation service to meet your company’s technical, legal and safety obligations. My experience is drawn from years of experience in safety-critical engineering sectors. I have led hundreds of engineering projects. Projects with huge diversity, from 40m long truss gantry cranes for nuclear applications to very large multi-axis robots for use in the investment casting industry. Brakes for Morgan and Formula Renault racing cars, to bicycle design and development. Innovative security fasteners to composite prop shafts for aircraft amongst a myriad of others. No project is too big or too small, too simple or too challenging. My company uses Solidworks and Solidworks Simulation for our design and analysis work. I also use Mathcad Prime and Excel to produce automated calculations sheets. I am a chartered engineer and a member of the IET. My work is covered by professional indemnity insurance. A master’s graduate with First Class Honours in Advanced Mechanical Engineering from University of Leicester, United Kingdom. During my masters, I had a module based on CAD modelling using Solid Works, where I had successfully submitted a CAD model of an spur gear. Also, had carried out stress analysis on the modelled part. This module has given me an overall proficiency of SolidWorks and capability to work on any task individually. At the same time, I have hands on experience with Matlab. I have successfully presented many Matlab simulated programs using various programming algorithms. For my masters project which was based on ‘Co-deposition of nickel-SiC using Pulse reverse plating techniques to produce nano composites’. Majority of the work was undertaken at the university which made me utilize all the resources and advanced technological equipment like scanning electron microscopy. After course completion, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in the department of engineering. I have assisted in demonstrating mechanical oriented first year labs concerning flow measurements in pipes, and electrical oriented labs based on circuit design and analysis using P Spice. Also, assisted in second year labs helping students to learn about material selection in devices using CES Edupack software, as well as different engineering materials micro structural properties and processing.
