I am an Electrical Engineer specializing in electronic hardware and PCB design, with a focus on RF, high-speed interfaces, signal integrity, embedded systems, and manufacturable electronic products. I support both complete hardware development and focused engineering work such as PCB design review, troubleshooting, electromagnetic simulation, signal-integrity analysis, layout optimization, and preparation for manufacturing. My work covers the complete hardware development cycle, including system architecture, component selection, schematic capture, multilayer PCB layout, power architecture, prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, DFM/DFT, and manufacturing release. A recent project involved the electromagnetic analysis and optimization of a GMSL2 serializer-to-FAKRA PCB interconnect operating up to 6 GHz. I developed a KiCad-to-openEMS simulation workflow to evaluate S-parameters, return loss, impedance, transmission-line geometry, connector launches, via structures, anti-pads, and reference-plane discontinuities. I also develop embedded and industrial hardware using STM32 and ESP32 platforms, cellular connectivity, GNSS, LoRaWAN, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet, BLE, Wi-Fi, sensors, industrial interfaces, low-power electronics, and battery-powered systems. Typical projects I support include: — Complete schematic and PCB development — RF and high-speed PCB design — Multilayer and controlled-impedance layouts — PCB design review before fabrication — Existing hardware troubleshooting and redesign — Signal-integrity and electromagnetic analysis — Embedded and industrial IoT hardware — Power-management circuits — Prototype bring-up and validation — BOM optimization and component selection — DFM, DFT and manufacturing documentation I have experience across industrial R&D, freelance engineering, hardware validation, and test engineering, including two years in R&D at Furukawa Electric. My main engineering tools include KiCad, Altium Designer, openEMS, Python, EasyEDA Pro, and ParaView. I am a young, recently graduated Mechanical Engineer, with the main goal, for the next years, of developing machines, devices or software to help on solving people's problems. Currently I am surveying different Master's Degree opportunities and working part-time in the project area of a small gyrocopter company. While those are my main occupations, I am looking for working on small freelancer projects too, as they give me chance of helping people in exchange of additional experience on different fields. My major interests are renewable energy, aircraft design (especially unusual types), cheaper and more effective urban transportation methods, video games, low cost local manufacturing and Lindy Hop (thanks Scotland for this last one). During the university years, I helped developing software for a working CNC milling machine prototype that uses STEP-NC as input data, focusing on toolpath generation algorithm. Also, during university, I took part on the Albatroz Aero Design team, design small scale RC cargo aircraft. As a side project, I developed a functional structural simulation software in 2012 that the team uses until today. Specialities: Creo/Pro Engineer CAD modelling, English-Portuguese translation, Lua programming, data survey and analysis.
