I am a Mechanical Engineer with over 10+ years of professional experience in design, engineering, and execution across multidisciplinary domains. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from Chandigarh University and an MBA in Operations Management from UPES (University of Petroleum & Energy Studies), which enables me to combine strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of project execution and operations. My core expertise lies in mechanical design and engineering for UAVs, drones, solar energy systems, and industrial applications. Over the years, I have worked extensively on structural design, product development, CAD modeling, system optimization, and manufacturable design solutions, supporting projects from concept through commissioning. I am a design draftsman with over 25 years engineering industry experience You will see that I draw on a practical trade background as I am a qualified fitter & turner, a qualified draftsman and hold a diploma in engineering. Having worked as a tradesman, a supervisor, a draftsman and a project manager, I choose to work as a draftsman as this is the occupation I enjoy most & I continue to develop my computer aided design skills, hold my own Solidworks 2014 software license and workstation. Using Solidworks 2007 to 2015, AutoCAD and Unigraphics I have: - Modelled & designed sheet metal parts, profile cut, machined and fabricated components, weldments and assemblies. - Created detailed manufacturing drawings as well as the DXF, step & PDF files required for laser/plasma cutting, CNC bending and component production. - Revised & updated engineering drawings & 3D models. - Upgraded designs to ensure compliance with the relevant Australian standards. -Redrawn engineered products from samples to develop new products. -Supported purchasing, production/manufacturing departments and provided images and data to salespersons. I have worked in foundries, sugar mills and manufacturing facilities on diverse equipment.
