Can you tell me what you think of my design? Is there anything wrong with it that i should correct?

Something like the cutaway picture at the following URL.

But, obviously bigger to deal with the larger forces involved.

in terms of 2D i haven't found much on the internet
it would be way easier if you could provide some drawings of what you really need
thanks

Yep. That's the one. Not sure if I'm allowed to name manufacturers of similar.
A google search of servo assembly press should give you a good idea.
It would just be a single lead screw and motor. Tooling would be added after to suit the application.
Possibly mounted on a c frame to a robot arm.
More recently, I have seen similar pressing bushes into chassis frames.

Light duty telescoping mechanizm
This is constest for a telescoping mechanism with the following parameters. It needs to lift about 3 lbs straight up across a range of from 2ft -5ft with a travel speed of 6"/second both up and down. There will be bundle of wire running up the inside of the tubes probably about the size of a usb cable and some 3-4 servo extension cables. All custom parts should be designed to be fabricated on either a makerbot, laser cut out of 1/8" thick material, or exsisting off the shelf components. The tubes of the telescoping mechanism should be from these square polycarbonate tubes (1/2", 3/4", 1"). http://www.mcmaster.com/#3161T21 The bottom of this device and the motor that drives it will mount to a plate of 0.20" aluminum. Please find a motor which is available for order in the USA. The motor should be either a 24vdc or 5vdc servo.

Liquid Filling, Measuring, Cutting and sealing Machine
I need a Liquid Filling, Measuring, Cutting and sealing Machine designed, the machine will be filling liquids such as fruit juices onto plastic bag and sealing and cutting the bags into tubes of different measurements, the machine should be fully automatic, the use should only specify the size of the tube required, the number of tubes to be filled and the machine should be able to take it from there and do the job on its own. More details will be given as required, depending on the complexity of the design, we may build the prototype ourselves or let the designer build the prototype for us.
