Description:
We are looking to design an equipment stand for mini-split air conditioners that is easy and quick to assemble. It will be an outdoor stand, so it must withstand the weather, and hold up to 400lbs.

Currently the market leader is Quick Sling. This product is patented, so ours must be a different design. We are looking to improve the assembly speed, as it takes 20-30 minutes to assemble a Quick Sling QSMS1201.

We were thinking maybe it's possible to reduce assembly speed by having a stand that's folded in the box and expands when you take it out (like a folding chair or folding table). This is just one idea. All options will be considered, use your imagination!
Wants:
- speed of assembly
- ease of assembly
- cost effective to manufacture
- must hold minimum 400 lbs
- must be adjustable to hold different equipment widths
- height adjustment would be a nice feature

We've noticed many of the designs look very similar to the Quick Sling product example.

You don't have to limit yourself to the same style design

Are the mounting point consistent across various mini split ac manufacturers? I also notice that you are open to having moving joints. That being said how concerned are you about vibration? Do you know what part of the quick sling assembly process is the most time consuming? In my research thus far I have not been able to find anything definitive. Thank you - Izak van der Walt P.E.

Hello,
I published two different type of stand with all details that you need in case you'll manufacture the frame. The first one was without connector joint, however could be easily stored. The second could be easily fold. I designed the both designs in the intent what you're looking that can hold up to 400lbs and withstand to the weather.
To satisfy the constraints the design should be complex and that what I did, otherwise I could easily design frame such as scissor or similar. So far I didn't understand what you're looking for ?
