Govt. of India has introduced new category of Vehicle - E Rickshaw last year primarily to uplift the working condition of rickshaw-pullers (from an otherwise physically taxing mode of commute, rickshaw pullers and drivers now have an easier and greener alternative.) E Rickshaw comes in two variant - Passenger Vehicle and Goods Carrier. Euler Motors is working on 3 Wheeler Electric Good Carrier variant for Indian Market - Tier 3/4 Markets { Villages, Small Townships }.

Here is specification according to government :-
1. Top Speed = 25 Km/H
2. Load Capacity = 310 Kgs
3. Length x Width x Height = 2.8 m x 1 m x 1.8 m . (Dimensions are in Meters)

Here are some of the existing version of E Rickshaw Goods Carrier :-

Salient Features That Euler Motors is working on :-
4.3” Inch Digital Display { Link = } instead of Regular Dial based display { Link = }. This display will display stats around Speed, Battery Left, Temp., Headlights, Indicator
Reverse Backup Camera : To enhance Safety of the vehicle and driver, a reverse backup camera will be attached to the rear - centre of the vehicle. Display from camera would appear on the 4.3” Digital display when vehicle reverses.
Li Ion Battery will be placed in front of the vehicle {below the driver’s seat}. However the structure should be made in a way that the battery can taken out from enclosure within 2 minutes if required. Entire battery back will consist of 2 modules. Each module will be of following dimensions
Each Module’s Weight = 12 Kgs
Each Module’s size : Length x Width x Height = 220 mm x 210 mm x 355 mm
2 Modules can be arranged along the width of vehicle or height in the battery pack.

Required Items inside the Vehicle:-
Li Ion Charging Spot needs to be on the vehicle installed.

Vehicle needs to include
First Aid Box
Mini Fire Extinguisher
Vehicle Charging Point needs to be on vehicle { , }
Standard vehicle parts - Front head light {LED headlight}, Front Indicator, Tail Lights, Rear Indicator, brake pedal.

Accelerator in the conventional 3 wheeler are along the handle.
What we are looking for :
Open Load Carrier Design for 3 Wheeler E - Rickshaw. By open we mean the back portion of the vehicle is not fully closed as in this example : , . We will be evaluating designs basis following criteria : -

Overall looks and esp. the frontal look. Simple, Spacious for driver, cleaner but fresh design in terms of frontal look. {But taking inspiration from StarWars or Tron is taking it way too far ..}

Interior Dash Board : Since most of the dashboard of E Cart looks like a Bike’s front steering Example Link . We aren’t looking for another Bike’s steering based dashboard. These 3 wheeler steering wheel is still better : . Preferably we will want to place our 4.3 inch TFT display on this handle. However other designs are also welcome.

The Vehicle will mostly operate on roads with gravels and potholes. Consideration in design given toward stability and over-all achieving lower maintenance cost will be plus.

You can also consider sending your initial sample design or outlay in sketch. We will be get back with our feedback so that you have better chance designing the vehicle the way we want and also increasing your chance at winning the competition.
Don't Wants:
We are not looking for anything where designs are extremely high tech or futurist.

I have came up with a second concept layout. Sure would be nice to see some comments.
Clean edges, more futuristic design elements. This shape would be fun to drive.
Unibody design - rotational molded concept for simplistic manufacturing. No doors, just a plastic body if it gets wet, let the sun dry it off. Electronics, battery and motor all located under the seat.

In this competition aspect I suggest that you have more than one winner, as I am sure that good works appeared at similar levels.
With this I believe you will have more quantity of entries with good quality.
After all, this project will take a lot of designer hours and nothing more fair than hitting the odds for those who participate.

I can design a complete functionally vehicle like that. i've designed and built 2 small electric vehicles in the college (6-7 years ago). but from my point o view what you want requieres a lot of time consumption to be only for a contest. i mean maybe for a student with a lot of free time may be result in a god expercience. but if you want a fully developed and funcionally design the price is not worht it.

We are looking for "Overall looks" with focus on the front of the vehicle. Frontal part of the vehicles includes how the vehicles looks from the front side, inside the vehicle - i.e dashboard because it needs to fit in a TFT screen which is the main part of the instruments cluster.

Tyre sizes can be 3.00-14 {typical E-Rikshaw tyres} or 4.00 x 8 {Baja 3Wheeler Tyres } or any other dimensions designer feel would be best suited for load carrying application.
Typical HP of the motor ~ 1.5 HP.
Material can be FRP or Plastics or any other material designer feels would be great.

We have kept lot of options open for the designer to fully maximize their creativity. Since the vehicle is designed for Indian's Tier 3/4 Audiences - designer needs to put in consideration for road conditions like .

Software : We are mostly good with any software as long as their is a STL file that can exported out and can be used in SolidWorks or any other vehicle design software.

I have traveled on the passenger ones.
i think the wheel base of back tires are approx 60 inches min. and the ground clearance is approx 12-15 inches. Please confirm the exact dimensions.

Hello there,
Got a couple of doubts.

What exactly do you want to be designed ?
Is it the structures ?
There are too many variables missing
Wheelbase, rear track width, ride height, tire radius, the type of Chassis you are expecting ?, material, material shape/size, etc etc
Are all these things upto the designer ?

And lastly, do you want the entire assembly designed or just the Load Carrier and the dashboard ?

Enclosure design for a building automation product
Our company is looking for enclosure designs for a set of 3 PCB modules which can connect together to form one single product. Our chosen manufacturer uses folded plastic sheet, although design ideas do not need to be limited to this process. The main board can feature as a standalone product but in many cases will be connected with the HV and I/O submodule boards, in which case they need to form a single product. There should be a lock-in mechanism on the side panels of the main enclosure to allow connection with HV board and I/O board. The Main board will have an LED panel illuminating the company logo (which will change colours based on the product status). Each individual enclosure should be DIN rail mountable. Hotel Butler Robot
I am looking for an industrial design of a hotel butler robot with manufacturing specification. I would like an interchangeable face module - 1 with the mascot as the face, another with a screen as the face. Additionally the robot needs to have an interchangeable stand to make it taller like the Double ipad stand. Le Mans LMP1
I want someone to design a Le Mans Prototype, and I prefer the Toyota Hybrid TS030. This is a personal project to build it as a hobby. I want to build the body out of fiber glass by making (milling) molds with a CNC router machine using a 3D software. I am a fabricator, so it will be easier and preferable for me to build (weld) the chassis out of aluminum or steel, whichever you think will be more recommended for building a chassis.

Hi! I urgently need to make the visualization of the interior of three houses. It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is just apply the material of wood in the interior (floors, ceiling, beams, etc.) In some images you will need to make the fireplace, as specified in the example. I attached 3 ready models with the camera settings. And all the other additions you will find in the attached file. In the example, there are all images which correspond to the name of each house. Unfortunately I can't give more information, because that's all I was given by the customer. But if you carefully view all of the attached material, everything is clear described.
