Description:
I do not have experience with this but I need to create a small in store display that represents my brand and relays information on how our personalization/ monogramming process works. This is something that you would find in boutiques sitting on a shelf or small table. (around 13" wide and 20" tall) There needs to be a section that can hold a set of plastic sheet cards (about 8.5 x 8.5 inches) that will have monogramming font examples. The customer would use these plexiglass sheets and hover them over the actual products that are in the store to help them visualize what their monogram will look like. It would also have an area that can show a single representative product that can be updated. I am thinking either a shelf where the store can place a small item such as a luggage tag or small cosmetic bag that is already stamped for viewing (no larger than 8" x 5" x 3:

The item needs to be free standing and able to be easily shipped.
Wants:
Needs to be simple/sleek and ready to manufacture. Should reflect our brand vibe and have a coastal vibe. I am imagining it is made of a plastic material or acrylic/Lucite. I need to be able to take the project to the next step from the design - whether it is via 3D printing or providing specs to Acrylic company for sample making. Needs to be stable so that it can hold the cards and product and not easily tip over.
Don't Wants:
I do not want something that requires a complicated manufacturing process or something that is delicate and difficult to ship. No sharp or clunky edges.
Company Logo:
Yes
Software:
  1. no particular preference
Additional Information
For final - will eventually need .PDF or .DXF file format.

Hi Boulevar,

Just wondering if you have any feedback for the Shop Display project?
We would love to give you more options if you feel current concepts don't fully commit to your brand.

Looking forward to your feedback, Pablo

Feedbacks are important if you seek the best out of a designer.

Hi Boulevard.

Just a couple of questions:
1- I took the liberty to modify the overall concept you originally sent. Is this something you will consider or you prefer to keep all the features on the design as close as possible (minus the bend feature to reduce budget)?
2- Template color usage: are you willing to see some color areas on your design, or you prefer to use solid acrylic colors and use the logos to add hints of color template?

Just a note to the designers. Thank you for the submissions - I have been learning about the manufacture as I have been receiving these. For acrylic forms - each bend in the shape adds to the cost of the process. In other words - it is the most cost effective to have a vertical side and the the base (there should not be a curl or a third fold behind the base) to keep the cost low and also as this design does not add function. Die cutting is a one time cost - so the cutting of a curve or cutout - does not add to cost at all. I don't need re-submissions but I thought this would be useful to designers. Thank you

Who does not like my design?
In any case I never hide my design because in general rule those who hide their designs have fears that we discover that it already exists

There is something wrong with the submit, first I can't add more than one file, and when I attache the picture it doesn't appear after the submit. Any advises please. many thanks

Ok... which one are you talking about now? because i do not see it.. My base is where the product will be standing. I do not see another earlier concept with the same base..

The base is designed the same way, the only difference is that you cut a wave on tha flat part

Oh damn, did not see his color idea. And its not really a copy.. Its a completely different design I used. But i admit not seeing the different color idea. I do apologize.

Toy siren whistle modeling in Autodesk Inventor
Existing pneumatic mouth-blown siren whistles need a large volume of air at a fairly high pressure in order to produce a noise. Project Goals: Create a siren whistle model assembly (rotor, stator(s), housing) in Autodesk Inventor that that I can 3D print (I have Inventor myself, so I can modify part/assembly constraints and export STL for 3D printing) and I can experiment with the effect of changing constraints such as: different part/assembly sizes, number of rotor vanes, angle of rotor vanes, position and number of stator openings, etc. Ideally, the provided model with the default constraints produces a siren noise that uses less volume and pressure when blown through than existing products (such as those depicted at http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=whistle+lips and on attached image). The model should also be moldable and assemble-able using conventional plastic production manufacturing methods. Provide constrained Inventor files upon completion. It is anticipated that reduction in size of the existing approach should produce the desired result. Higher pitched frequency than that produced by current commercial versions is OK. I've also included 2 photos of a: 1) stator/retention element (with round holes), 2) rotor and 3) stator/housing (red) from a "lip whistle" siren toy.
