My objective and focus is to continue to learn and apply my technical knowledge and skills to create products that are well-crafted and thoughtfully designed. My goal is to inspire, motivate and encourage everyone around me.
I have broad experience in industrial design 3D modeling and detail-drafting of elevator components, flood barrier systems, conveyors, valves, actuators, power plant firing systems, ducting, pressure parts and supports. Eager to learn to learn more!

Experience

Senior Designer/ PM General Electric · Full-time Aug 2007 – Present 16 yrs 8 mos undefined, SC, United States *Contributed to Structural, Pressure Part/Stress Analysis and Firing System departments within GE Power to produce systems and components for Power Plants around the world.

*Begin projects with kick-off meeting. Define work scope, design and details to satisfy requirements and conditions of project, proposals or related tasks.

*Travel for site scoping trips depending on scope of work and needs of customer.

*Review standard reference sources to accomplish design intent. Perform design calculations in support of design scope.

*Determine field and manufacturing notes for shop assembly and field installation. Create drawing sets for mfg & field installation.

*Provide guidance to design team after checking drawings

*Establish design criteria for manufacture and/or field install with

*Upload 3D models and drawings to BIM/Plant Design/Autodesk Vault/PLM software to allow access domestically or from India and China counterparts.

*Acting as lead person for assigned projects, attend meetings, visit job sites or manufacturing facilities, provide scheduling input, hour and material estimates, drawing/document control and other coordination to fulfill contract requirements.
