About

I am an experienced mechanical design and industrial Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the automotive industry.

I have been working for a year as a mechanical engineer and for the last year, I have been working with different companies as a design engineer.

Major fields of work:

Design for manufacturability (DFM processes)
Solidworks
design & rapid prototyping
product development
innovative design ideas
design documentation from drafts to renders
injection moulding designs
plastic products
3d printable product design

I have done multiple projects on different fields of industry such as research, lean manufacturing, SolidWorks modelling, Matlab GUI & Simulink and ANSYS FEA & CFD.

Experience

  • Product Manager sanlito energy · Full-time Feb 2019 – Jan 2020 11 mos Delhi, DL, India I have done production supervision and client management for more cost-effective and customer desirable products. more customer-focused manufacturing with continuous communication with companies and individual clients.
Major projects on which I have worked: sports equipment, electronic component bodies, street lighting system, utility box, Lithium-ion battery packs.
job duties performed: supervision of production and workforce, maintaining the quality standard, organising production schedules according to customer demand, dealing with customer issues.
  • Industrial Engineer gna axles limited · Full-time Aug 2018 – Feb 2019 6 mos Phagwara, PB, India Work duties that I have done: Monitoring the overall functioning of processes, identifying improvement areas and implementing adequate measures like different lean manufacturing tools & techniques in different business processes to enhance productivity and maximize customer satisfaction level,Tracking performances of the team members and suggesting areas of improvements, facilitating & imparting training and monitoring the improvements continuously,Analysing engineering drawings and giving feedback on them to respective departments.
All that work helped me gain valuable work experience as Hands-on experience in Screw Press or forging presses, Robots, Material Gathering, Furnaces, Dies, CNC and CNC coding, Upsetter Machine and Designing.
     Controls and operations
     Maintenance
     Sensor orations
     Robot coding
     Fault analysis
     Workflow
  • Intern leader valves · Internship Jan 2018 – May 2018 4 mos undefined, PB, India I have done my full-time internship from leader valves, where I have completed two projects: lean manufacturing, in which presented the report for the elimination of non-value-added activities to reduce the production cost by more than 30 lakh per year and SolidWorks modelling on new pouring ladle design to reduce the wastage of material and improve safety. more details on an individual project are available under the project section of my profile.

  • Punjabi university, Patiala Bach. Of Engineering, Mechanical engineering , 6.5 2014 – 2018 Activities and Societies: research and project development

Other experience

  • Matlab Projectile Motion A project on projectile motion in Matlab. In this project, I have worked on backend programming of the projectile motion and GUI for entering initial values and showing results. The results were plotted concerning variables, for example, initial velocity, angle and gravitational force, which gives us the projectile path.
  • CAD Modelling of a wearable device for joint movement energy harvesting CAD modelling of a wearable device for conversion of energy from joint movement to electrical energy. Using piezoelectric material mechanical energy is converted into micro electric energy, which can be utilised further for charging small electronics. The whole design includes multiple sensors rather than a single sensor as in conventional designs. So that unique design helps to generate more energy with a single movement.
  • The efficient design of pouring ladle The project included designing the new pouring ladle in SolidWorks for increasing efficiency and safety. As it was analysed in training that there is too much plashing of molten metal, which causes wastage of material and threatens the safety of workers. The new pouring ladle was designed for workers with new safety features and increased efficiency. For example curved edges and pouring nozzle for reducing the amount of splashing of material out of the ladle and extra stabling plates on each side of the handle so it could not roll while resting on the stand for pouring.
