About
I’m Cameron, an engineer and CAD designer working through Silver Signal Ltd in the UK.
I specialise in practical mechanical CAD work for businesses, manufacturers, fabricators and individuals who need parts designed, recreated or prepared for manufacture.
My focus is on designs that need to work in the real world, not simply look good in CAD.
I can help with:
• 3D CAD modelling from sketches, photographs, measurements or existing components
• Reverse engineering and recreation of obsolete or difficult-to-source parts
• Replacement parts for machinery, equipment and assemblies
• Brackets, mounts, guards, enclosures, adapters and fixtures
• Sheet metal and fabrication-focused part design
• Parts intended for CNC machining or 3D printing
• Design modifications and improvements to existing components
• Technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Prototypes and design-for-manufacture development
I primarily work in Autodesk Fusion and can supply common manufacturing formats including STEP, STL, DXF and PDF drawings.
My professional background is in industrial automation and machinery. I work with mechanical systems, electrical hardware, sensors, actuators, industrial equipment and manufacturing environments, so I approach CAD projects with an understanding of how components are actually assembled, manufactured and used.
Alongside client work, I design my own engineered products involving mechanical CAD, electronics, PCB design, enclosures and prototyping.
If you have a component that needs recreating, an idea that needs turning into a manufacturable model, or a part that needs adapting for a particular application, send me the details and I’ll help turn it into something that can be made.
