Mechanical CAD Designer | Sheet Metal, Fabrication & CNC Specialist

I'm a mechanical CAD designer with over 10 years of experience turning sketches, photos, and reverse-engineered parts into fabrication-ready drawings and working machines. I specialize in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D/3D modeling, sheet metal enclosure design, GD&T, and CNC part programming (SolidCAM) for mill, lathe, and plasma machines. I also design and slice parts for 3D printing, and generate clean DXF files for laser/plasma cutting.

My work has been put into production across Kenya — from a stainless steel grill and vehicle bumper for Twinseal East Africa, to electrical enclosures and a powder coating booth for PCTL Automation, to a land tiller and maize polisher for Fablab Winam and Nyagah Mechanical Engineering. I run Leonic Solutions, my own CAD design and 3D printing practice, alongside freelance and consultancy work.

I hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Production Option) from Nairobi Technical Training Institute, and completed CAD/CAM technology training at the Technical University of Kenya and the KCB Foundation's Gearbox manufacturing program.
