About
I am a Piping Stress Engineer with hands-on experience in piping flexibility and stress analysis, currently working on Oil & Gas, process, refining, gas compression and related engineering projects.
My core expertise is CAESAR II-based piping stress and flexibility analysis, with experience evaluating piping systems for sustained, operating, thermal and hydrotest conditions, along with assessment of stresses, displacements, restraint loads and equipment nozzle loads.
My experience includes working with ASME B31.3 and other relevant international codes and standards, including ASME B16.5, ASME B16.10, ASME B16.20, API 610, API 650, API 661, ASTM A106, ASTM A312 and ISO 14692.
Piping stress and flexibility analysis using CAESAR II
• Sustained, operating and hydrotest load cases
• Evaluation of calculated stresses and displacements against allowable limits
• Evaluation of piping restraint and support loads
• Piping layout optimization for flexibility and stress control
• Equipment nozzle load evaluation
• Pump, tank, exchanger, air cooler and vessel nozzle evaluation
• Review and incorporation of vendor allowable nozzle loads
• WRC 107 / WRC 297 nozzle qualification
• NozzlePRO analysis for nozzle qualification
• Finite Element SIF analysis for Tee qualification
• Stress markups for piping layout modifications
• Preparation of stress reports, support load reports and stress isometrics
• Preparation of stress summaries and final engineering deliverables
• Interpretation of P&IDs, Equipment GADs, line lists, design basis documents and piping material specifications
