About

I move designs from intent through execution.

That means developing the geometry, assemblies, drawings, details, specifications, tolerances, materials, processes, and configuration needed for a design to survive contact with fabrication, construction, inspection, purchasing, and production.

My background spans California architecture and development, aerostructures, composites, mechanical design, and manufacturing. I work with DFM/DFA/DFx, GD&T, tolerance stacks, BOM and configuration structure, quality, supplier constraints, and standards-based documentation.

I approach the work with the downstream consequences in mind: how something will be made, bought, assembled, inspected, changed, and represented in MRP/ERP systems. Where specialist engineering is required, I know what needs to be surfaced, how to define the problem, and when to bring in the responsible engineer.

For architecture, I provide senior design and documentation support to architects and engineers on substantial residential projects, with project scale generally equivalent to $1M+ construction in higher-cost markets. My role is not simply to draw what is given to me, but to help carry the design through to a clear, coordinated, buildable set of documents.
