About
Final-year Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) student with a focus that goes past standard coursework FEA — I write and debug custom Abaqus material subroutines (UMAT) in Fortran, not just run built-in models.
Recent work: reviewed and debugged a coupled thermomechanical shape-memory-alloy (SMA) constitutive UMAT — catching an incorrect transformation-strain direction tensor (causing ~18% underprediction), a memory-safety issue when NTENS ≠ 6, a missing corotational rotation of tensor state variables, and a secant-vs-consistent-tangent stiffness problem. I also build Python tooling for inverse material-parameter identification (Gauss-Newton / Levenberg-Marquardt refinement against nanoindentation and tensile-test data), and I'm developing my own browser-based FEA/material-characterization platform on the side — this is an active interest, not a one-off skill.
What I take on: nonlinear implicit/static analysis, custom material model (UMAT/USDFLD) development, Abaqus Python scripting for parametric or repetitive workflows, and material-parameter identification from experimental test data. Happy to start with a smaller, well-scoped task first so you can evaluate the work before a bigger commitment.
