  During my time at MGL Group, I handled mechanical design and drawing work across CAD modeling, reverse engineering, and manufacturing documentation, working closely with fabrication and production teams to make sure everything I delivered was ready for the shop floor.
  
  Some of the main things I worked on:
  
  3D CAD Modeling (SolidWorks)
  I built parametric 3D models of mechanical parts and assemblies starting from concept sketches, client specs, or reference material, keeping design intent and manufacturability in mind at every step.
  
  Reverse Engineering
  I converted STL scan data and old STEP files into clean, fully editable SolidWorks models, rebuilding geometry for parts that had no CAD source to begin with, and checking dimensional accuracy against the original scans.
  
  GD&T & Technical Drafting
  I applied GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to control critical features on production drawings and set up drawing sheets and title blocks following ASME Y14.100 so the whole drawing set stayed consistent.
  
  Sheet Metal Design
  I designed sheet metal parts and enclosures in SolidWorks — flat pattern development, bend allowances, and fabrication-ready flat pattern drawings.
  
  Weldment Design & Cut Lists
  I modeled structural weldment assemblies using SolidWorks Weldments and generated cut lists to support fabrication planning and material ordering.
  
  Fabrication & Manufacturing Documentation
  I put together complete manufacturing documentation packages — assembly drawings, detail drawings, cut lists, and notes — to guide fabrication and cut down on production errors.
  
  BOM Preparation
  I compiled and kept BOMs up to date for assemblies, making sure part numbers, quantities, and material specs stayed aligned with the CAD model and drawing revisions.
