About
I'm an electronics engineer specializing in analog and mixed-signal PCB design, taking boards from schematic capture through controlled-impedance layout to fabrication.
I recently earned my BS in Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, where I built my foundation on the hardware side of the stack: multi-layer PCB design, fine-pitch BGA and high-speed differential routing, power delivery, and analog design down to the IC level.
Across university projects, national competitions, and research, I've designed a range of boards — including a 4-layer software-defined-radio front-end built around a 16-bit, 200 MSPS ADC, a 6-layer MPU system board carrying high-speed interfaces (Gigabit Ethernet, MIPI CSI, USB), and several STM32-based systems. That work has given me hands-on experience with the details that make high-speed boards actually work: impedance control, differential-pair length matching, clean power delivery, and design-for-manufacturability.
I've also worked on the analog side at the circuit level. In a research role in analog IC design, I designed and validated op-amps, filters, and a programmable-gain amplifier against strict specifications for gain, bandwidth, phase margin, THD, and stability, running PVT, Monte Carlo, noise, and stability analyses in Cadence ADE-XL and LTSpice. More recently, I completed a hardware design internship at Analog Devices.
I'm comfortable across the full flow rather than one slice of it , schematic, layout, and the fabrication and assembly outputs (Gerbers, BOM, pick-and-place), plus the firmware and analysis to bring a board up and characterize it on the bench.
What I enjoy most is the point where careful layout meets real signal and power-integrity constraints, and turning a schematic into something that manufactures cleanly and works. I've tested that under pressure, too: I've placed in several national engineering competitions, including one where I designed a complete 4-layer PCB, from schematic to fabrication files, within a strict 4-hour limit.
